FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I can't remember if or when I paid my dues.
If you are able to log on to our website and access our Member Area, you are a current member.
If you have logged on accurately, and you can't access our Member Area, it means you either have let your membership lapse or you have never paid dues.
To remedy this situation, simply click "JOIN" and register as a new member. You will get an email receipt of your transaction. A suggestion is to print it out and save it for future reference.
What is the cost of the monthly luncheons?
Currently, as of 2024, the cost of the luncheons is $45 per person. That includes taxes, gratuities, entertainment-and valet parking where necessary. The League's goal is to be revenue-neutral at our luncheons. The League subsidizes two luncheons a season in order to enjoy some higher-end venues.
May I bring a guest to the luncheon or an event?
Some venues are larger than others and so sometimes we have space for more people. If the flyer or website information says one guest allowed, you may bring one. Otherwise, if there isn’t enough space, the information will say: no guests.
May I walk-in or pay at the door?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate walk-ins.
All registration takes place in advance online.
Do you accept checks or cash?
No, only online payments, which are more secure than checks or cash.
Can I get a refund, once I have paid for an event?
There are no refunds once you have paid for an event. You may sell your ticket or give it to a friend. Just be sure to let the Vice President of Luncheons know the name of the new person for the guest list.
How do I get information about the League's activities, like when they meet, how to join them, etc?
Go to: pelicanbaywomensleague.org. All events are listed in the Member Area under Event Registration and Interest Groups. Additionally, under Open Activities you will see activities open to female non-members of Pelican Bay such as the Speaker Series and Songbirds.
How do I start an Interest Group?

What do my dues cover?
Annual dues of $60 per year cover the League’s administrative fees as well as subsidies of certain League activities, such as Luncheon entertainment or Special Events. It does NOT cover expenses incurred by the individual Interest Groups. If they have any expenses, they may charge their members a fee. If so, it is usually very minimal. Oftentimes, there is no additional fee.
I spend only a few weeks or months here in Pelican Bay. My schedule is erratic. Why should I join the League?
Joining the League entitles you to so many opportunities to meet new people, make friends and participate in our programs and events. It also means you will be listed in our online Directory, so you can contact people and they can contact you. You never have to worry about only attending one or two events or participating in partial activities. No attendance is mandatory. No minimum attendance at any of our events or programs is required. We all lead fluid lives. Just go for it! You never know what opportunities await you when you join the League.
